A 2km summer mushing experience by quad or troll cart, plus a farm tour. Very hands-on, with plenty of dog contact and a first-hand feel for how much the dogs love to work, the thrill of running with them and what it takes to train a good line.
In the summer heat, 2km is the dogs' maximum, and if a larger group needs more than two rounds we may swap the running dogs between rounds so no team overheats. Afterwards, join us in thanking the dogs with a well-earned cool drink before walking them back to their kennels.
On a troll cart, very small children can sit on a parent's knee, though we prefer to seat them once they can hold on for themselves, with children from c. 4 years upwards beside adults. On a quad, a child who can be trusted to sit still rides in front of the guide (so they can see) or between guide and parent.
1-seater cart: 1 driver & 1 passenger (adult or child). 2-seater cart: 1 driver & 2 passengers (1 adult + 1 child or 2 children).
As an alternative to quadbike mushing, you can run the 2km summer loop with the dogs on a fat-max scooter or fatbike.
