Hetta Huskies is run by Pasi Ikonen, his British wife Anna McCormack and their son Eliel, born May 2nd, 2010. Pasi and Anna are former professional athletes and explorers.

How they met
They met on the Tibetan plateau, on the start line of the 827km Raid Gauloises 2000, which Pasi's team won, and kept swapping podium positions on race courses around the globe until they joined forces. Married since January 4th 2003, they moved to Hetta in 2005 after searching Northern Lapland for a place to call home.
Why Hetta
They wanted wilderness with guaranteed winter snow, within reach of a good road network for essentials and family visits. Since Finland is essentially flat and both are mountain people, they also wanted the mountains of Sweden and Norway close by. Hetta was ideal.
Family and community
Eliel arrived in the spring of 2010, fearless around the dogs and happiest on the quadbike. Anna and Pasi both trained to guide in the National Park, and Pasi spends countless hours each month on regional development.
