Our northern-lights packages start in autumn, one of the best times of year for the lights. We offer 2-day and week-long packages, most designed over a week, because the longer you stay, the more likely the magic. No-one can guarantee the aurora. We can guarantee a great experience looking for it.

Aurora hunting in the autumn: why?
Autumn in northern Finland is lovely for hiking fells in every shade of 'ruska' without worrying about freezing, and each lengthening night brings out the stars for the aurora. Temperatures can swing 20 degrees in a day, so the landscape looks new each morning.
Autumn aurora package options
Some packages pair Arctic activities in the late mornings and afternoons with aurora searches at night. Others focus on afternoons with the dogs, hiking or quad-training. The rest are built around wilderness journeys by foot, bike or river. Most come in 2-day, 4-day and 7-day options.
Aurora in winter
By winter our focus shifts to short and multi-day husky tours, plus northern lights snowmobile tours. The multi-day tours journey far into the wilderness. In our 2016-17 season nearly all of our 5-day groups saw at least one night of amazing aurora far from civilisation.
