This is the same mushing product as our arctic mushing week, without the free activity day and the hotel nights either side of the safari. You sled for five full days, covering from 30km to 40km each day.

The price includes all meals, snow-suits and boots, expert guiding, wilderness accommodation in a variety of cabins and huts, and five days of dogsledding with your own team of huskies. At least one night is normally spent in a very basic hut on the high tundra plateau for a true arctic experience.

Group size

The optimum group is six clients with a guide, small enough to move easily through the wilderness and use a wide range of huts. When we combine would-be mushers to reach this size, most find the shared experience with like-minded adventurers part of the fun.

For an exclusive safari for two, or a slightly larger family group, please consider April.

Accommodation & Board

The first night returns to the homestead, where you can relax in a cosy kota or join farm life fully, including the feeding of 170 odd dogs. The safari's safety presentation is given that evening. The 3 remaining nights are spent in log cabins, only one of which has electricity and a shower. Full board is included throughout.

You arrange your own airport transfers and any hotel nights either side, or choose one of our package options and we take care of them.

Client Feedback

"My son and I took part in the five day husky safari... it was tough but one of the great experiences of my life. Owner Pasi and the other guides tried to make it as much five star as possible when you are driving a six dog power sled and staying in basic cabins and having a blizzard one day. The scenery is exceptional, they love the dogs and the dogs love everyone... but this is a once in a lifetime thing to do."
