Eighteen winters in, we run one of the largest husky farms in the Arctic - and we got tired of running it on spreadsheets, whiteboards and memory. So we built our own.
HettaView is bespoke, AI-run software that watches the health and strength of every single dog, learns each one's normal, and quietly flags the moment something drifts. It reads photos for the tell-tale signs of common problems, weighs a dog's recent work, age and team-mates, and tells us when a husky has earned a rest - often before a tired dog would ever show it.

The clever bit
An AI that never stops watching
- Photo analysis. Snap or upload a dog and HettaView scans for the visual markers of common issues - coat, eyes, posture, paws and condition.
- Early warnings. It learns each husky's baseline and raises a flag when something trends the wrong way, long before it becomes a problem.
- Smart rest. It suggests rest days from a dog's recent mileage, age and team composition - protecting the dogs that give the most.
- Diet that adapts. Feeding is tuned per dog from workload, condition and season, so no dog is over- or under-fed.
- Behaviour & mood. It reads body language and play from photos and daily notes - spotting stress, pain or a flat mood early, and flagging dogs that need a gentler day or a vet check.
- Smart breeding. It weighs health, temperament and genetic diversity to suggest the strongest, healthiest pairings - and to head off inheritable problems before a litter is ever planned.
- Performance trends. It tracks each dog's pace, pulling power and recovery across a season to fine-tune training loads, surfacing both rising stars and quietly fatiguing dogs.
- Supply forecasting. It predicts food, medicine and equipment needs from real usage and the season ahead, so the farm never runs short in the middle of winter.
