Northern Lights by Dogsled
Evening husky tours on our 6km 'silent landscapes' track to experience the aurora beneath a star-filled sky.
Experience the northern lights on our 6km 'silent landscapes' track. It is the same track we use by day, but at night we class it intermediate rather than easy because of reduced visibility. There is no more magical experience than riding with the dogs under a star-filled sky, the aurora overhead.
- 6km evening tour on the 'silent landscapes' track
- Classified intermediate due to night-time visibility
- Glide silently under the stars and aurora
- Head torches provided when needed
Northern lights husky tours
We cannot guarantee the weather, but it hardly matters. Night safaris are always unique. We use head-torches when needed, though a surprising amount of light reflects off the snowy marshes and starry skies, particularly under a full moon. With adjusted eyes, we often glide silently through the primeval landscape with no lights at all.
Why night tours cost a little more
Night safaris cost slightly more than daytime equivalents. We need a higher guide-to-client ratio, use headlights and farm-lights before, during and after the safari, and run more extensive safety checks for dogs and clients.
