Where the wilderness, reservation and day huts sit along the national park trails, and which of them can be booked.
Detailed information about the huts along the standard Hetta-Pallas trail is in the accommodation section of our website. The many huts at the southern end of the park, in the area around Ylläs, are shown on the map below.
- Year-round fishing: salmon and grayling in rivers, whitefish and trout in lakes
- Angling and ice fishing are free under Everyman's Rights (except flowing wilderness waters)
- Wilderness fishing needs Enontekio permit 1551 plus the state fishing management fee
- Famous 'Only Two Fish' ice fishing competition in Kilpisjarvi
- Salmon season: early July to mid-August; fly-fishing: late June to end of August
