Accessibility for All
A long history of making the outdoors accessible to all, with kit, support and a warm welcome for guests of every ability.
We have long worked to make the outdoors accessible to all. Our biggest commitment, a two-year research project into enabling kit and clothing, led to a successful inclusive crossing of the Greenland Icecap in 2006 alongside paralympian gold medallist (to be) Karen Darke.
- Two-year research project enabled an inclusive crossing of the Greenland Icecap (2006)
- Overnight wilderness safaris run with up to 1:1 support ratios
- Transfers to the farm by quad, kicksled or snowmobile
- Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and other dietary needs catered for
Adapting to your needs
We know physical challenges well, mental ones a little, and will gladly shape safaris and winter holidays around you. Some local accommodation has accessible facilities, many paths are being board-walked for year-round access, and we can bring you to the farm by quad in summer or kicksled or snowmobile in winter.
Over the past decade we have welcomed mixed-ability groups from Finland and abroad, including overnight wilderness safaris at 1:2 or even 1:1 support. Just tell us your needs ahead of time.
A welcome for everyone
Every guest is welcomed with equality and tolerance, regardless of nationality, culture, religion, sexual orientation, physical ability or sensory impairment. Simple meals can be arranged vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free or around other allergies and preferences, and told in advance, we plan the programme around special needs. Everyone deserves the freely-given cuddles of loving huskies and the Arctic wilderness against their cheeks.
