Our Premier Arctic Survival Course
An extreme April survival course - most nights in self-made arctic shelters, honing fire-making, ice-fishing, navigation and cold-hazard skills.
We run this course in April, when snow is deepest, lakes frozen and temperatures below zero. It is extreme, built for people who want to test their limits, spent mostly outdoors in self-made shelters with no warm base to retreat to.

The skills
You hone every arctic survival skill, shelter construction (used most nights), fire-making, ice-fishing, cold-hazard avoidance and first aid, and A-to-B winter navigation on skis or snowshoes. Equipment, condition, knowledge and the will to survive decide outcomes, alongside sound contingency, communication and evacuation plans.
Is it for you?
The aim: you leave able to survive winter with minimal equipment and clothing. The kit list is exact, nothing else allowed, including snacks or extra clothing. Too extreme? Our 'Introduction to Arctic Survival' week returns you to a warm shelter most nights. Both are taught by Pasi, one of Finland's foremost survival instructors and an active 'Survival Guild Finland' member.
