A shorter overnight alternative for those who can't fit a full 2-day tour: a 9km evening safari, a night in the farm kota, and a 30-40km safari the next day.
Sometimes people want our two-day mushing product but we cannot fit them in for two full days, yet a day safari is not enough. This overnight, suggested particularly for smaller groups, is the answer.
It starts at c. 6.30pm on day 1 with a short circular 9km tour, followed by a 30-40km safari on day 2.
We normally return to the homestead to eat and sleep in the traditional farm kota. Guests enjoy joining farm life, wandering with a camera, meeting the rest of the dogs, or walking a couple of retirees or pups.
You eat and sleep around the kota's large central fireplace, free after dinner to relax over sleddog tales. Next morning you can join the farm routines before your long day across the arctic terrain. If the farm kota is full, small groups occasionally sleep in a nearby wilderness cabin whose terrace faces north, handy for watching for the elusive northern lights.
Real wilderness, 200+ huskies, eighteen winters in.
