- 3 full days of mushing over a distance of 90-120km

A full-on three-day mushing experience covering 90-120km, exploring further from base than the 2-day tour and forming a real bond with your dog team.
We run 2-day and 5-day safaris each week through the season, but the 3-day safari joins the standard weekly program only from April, so request departure dates from April unless making a group enquiry.
This is a full-on mushing experience, ideal for a short but adventurous break. Where the 2-day program stays close to our Arctic base, the extra night lets us explore further and meet a wider variety of arctic landscapes. The journey matches our 'taiga tour +' package (formerly our 5-day forests and fells package), without the hotel nights and full board on either side.
We choose from a variety of 3-day routes based on weather, group size and cabin availability. Whichever we pick, the route is long enough to form real bonds with your dogs, and it will be hard to say goodbye.
One option heads to the Sami village of Näkkälä, out-and-back or as a circular tour with spectacular last-day views. Another reaches a remote trappers cabin on the banks of the Palojöki river, on the edge of the Tarvantovaara Wilderness Area, exactly the cosy sheltered cabin people picture in the arctic wilderness and often our choice in the coldest weeks. You need to be reasonably fit and comfortable outdoors through cold winter days.
"Best Experience of My Life! 3 day Circular Tour. My 3 friends and I went on the 3 day circular tour with Raya, Pasi and Kit. We helped with harnessing our teams, feeding them and putting them to bed for the night. The experience was unbelievable, sledding through the arctic circle with amazing dogs who love to work hard and also cuddle up to you at night."
"I did the 3-days huskysafari with my friends and the experience was wonderful. Our guide showed from beginning to end that he really cared about us and the dogs."
Real wilderness, 200+ huskies, eighteen winters in.
