Short taster husky rides from 2km to 6km - a quick, affordable taste of mushing for those short on time.
If you want a taste of running with the dogs but lack the time or money for a longer tour, choose one of our short taster rides. The 2km and 4km tours loop the pretty forested tracks on our own farm (once and twice respectively), while the 6km circular tour heads out into the open wilderness nearby.
At the start of each winter we also run a 5km tour on a trail that is easy to smoothen even with minimal snow, retiring it once our standard network opens. After that, the 6km Silent Landscapes tour is the best bet for short-notice bookings, as its tracks open more often than our farm tracks in the main season.
Book ahead and your team will generally be waiting on the start line when you arrive, which makes the farm tour easier to hear and leaves a longer visit at the end. Either way there is time to cuddle the dogs afterwards, and you may even put yours back in their kennels if they are not running again straight away.
Silent Landscapes is the shortest tour that heads properly into the wilderness away from our farm, combining amazing landscape with the thrill of mushing without too much cost.
As our core route it is the first opened after every snowfall, so we can run it in almost any conditions - we have even taken clients out in an arctic storm for a real adventure, and the dogs still found their way. The whole tour takes about an hour and a half, with c. 30-45 mins on the sleigh itself.
