You can sponsor any of our huskies not already taken, but the dogs below would especially love the extra help. Don't worry if you can't afford the full cost of keeping a dog here for a year (detailed in sponsorship options), any contribution at all is much appreciated. Older and 'less-good' sled-dogs
Our older or 'less-good' sled-dogs are hard to rehome, and we fully expect to care for them into old age. That is why they are on this list. Any help with their long-term care is appreciated.
Working dogs who need extra support
A selection from our working dog sponsorship programme.
- Hickory: an H-pup born in 2014 who works extremely hard and needs a lot of extra food to stay healthy
- Japp: one of our strongest and fastest Alaskan huskies, short-coated, burning so much energy he needs extra feeding and close watching
- Indigo: arrived a very shy rescue and is now a happy leader-in-training, wearing a special fluffy harness to avoid harness rub
- Maple: pretty but hard to match with running and cage partners, so she needs extra socialising time
