The Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is one of Finland's 37 national parks, and many say the most stunning, thanks to the ecosystem changes you pass through walking its length. Finland's national parks are managed by Metsähallitus, the Ministry of Forestry, and are free to enter. All have open and bookable huts, some even wilderness saunas, and are extremely well maintained by European standards.
