A tribute to the dogs no longer with us, remembered as part of our extended family.
This section is in loving memory of the dogs no longer with us, with their gallery images at the top and extra photos and words below. It can seem strange to newcomers that most good farms keep such a page, but these dogs were all part of our extended family, and it means a lot to honour them here.

Three groups of friends
The first group is for dogs who passed away happily and much loved in their forever homes. The second remembers those we know to have passed away or been put to sleep at Valimaa once deemed unable to run far or fast enough. The third honours dogs who died under our care while we were responsible for the Valimaa farm.
Not forgotten
Many of the dogs we had to leave in others' care did not live as long as we would have hoped, and we list their names here so they are not forgotten. Raija, a free-running lead dog in her day who loved to convalesce indoors, and Nuppu, who spent her final year in comfortable retirement in Sweden, are remembered with great fondness.
