Dogs Being Dogs

Candid photos of our huskies off duty, playing, lounging and simply being themselves.

Few visitors come on a dog safari without falling for the dogs. Some come purely for the adventure of the Arctic landscape, but for most it is the relationship with their team that leaves the strongest memory. Here are our dogs simply being dogs.

Our very first dogs

The earliest photos feature Chocolate and Sausage, our very first two dogs. Sausage missed the whole of the 2013-14 winter with a limp, and both join the 'house list' when it turns super cold, as they carry less hair than some of the others.

Around the farm

The farm is beautiful in summer and frosty winter alike, with dogs like Suka, Olive and Timon making the most of the 'Hilton' kennels and play areas, and Eli pictured out at the Valimaa wilderness farm.
