Snowmobile Tours
Skidoo safaris from short two-hour trips to overnight journeys to the high tundra, plus heated 'bubble sleigh' aurora tours.
No journey to Lapland is complete without a skidoo safari, from a couple of hours to a long overnight journey to the high tundra. Bring your driving licence if you would like to drive, or ride pillion or share the driving. Children can ride pillion if their feet reach the footrests (around age 10), or travel in a snowmobile sleigh pulled behind the guide.

Day tours
Driving a skidoo on tracks is easier than you might imagine. Off-track driving in virgin snow is best left to the experts. Our guides keep safety paramount and match the terrain to each group. Shorter tours run nearly every day in winter, the Palojoki Wilderness Tour about once per week, and the Näkkälä Circular Tour primarily in March and April.
Northern lights by snowmobile
You need not go far from the few lights of Hetta to revel in the aurora, so these tours are short, heading straight to the best vantage points. Most clients share a snowmobile and take turns driving. From 2022 a luxurious option is pulled behind a large Alpina Sherpa machine in a warm 'bubble' sleigh, no million layers required.
Overnight journeys
Overnight snowmobile journeys to wilderness cabins run primarily in spring, when we are less busy with the dogs. Specific dates may be possible on request, particularly in combination with a multi-day husky safari.
